Add a Text Watermark to Images
Put your name or a notice on your pictures. Your images stay on your device.
- Runs in your browser
- No sign-up
- No watermark
Add Watermark writes text onto your pictures. Set the text, font size, colour and opacity, then place it in one of nine positions or repeat it across the whole image in a tiled pattern. A preview shows the result before you save.
Choose several photos and they are all marked with the same settings, then offered as a ZIP. Everything is done in your browser, so your photos are not uploaded. Only text watermarks are supported, not logos or images.
How to use Add Watermark to Image
- Choose one or more images, or drop them onto the box.
- Type the watermark text, then set size, colour, opacity and position. Turn on the repeat option for a tiled pattern.
- Check the preview and choose an output format.
- Select Add watermark, then download each file or all of them as a ZIP.
Frequently asked questions
Are my photos uploaded?
No. The watermark is drawn in your browser and your photos never leave your device.
Can I use a logo instead of text?
No. Only text watermarks are supported.
How do I make it harder to remove?
Use the tiled option or a centre position with moderate opacity. A watermark can still be cropped or edited out, so it discourages casual reuse but does not prevent it.
Does the font size scale with the picture?
The size is relative to the image, so the same setting looks similar on small and large photos.
Can I mark many photos at once?
Yes. All chosen files get the same watermark, and you can download them as a ZIP.
Which text characters work?
Anything your device font can show, including accents and symbols such as the copyright sign. Some scripts need a font installed on your device.
Can I watermark a PDF?
This tool is for images only. PDFs are not supported.
